Weather Policy
Children benefit from vigorous mental and physical exercise. Outside play on sunny, windless days when the temperature is above 32 degrees is recommended by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
Using a combination of factors including temperature, wind speed, and precipitation in determining whether to go outside to play, we will take the children out at least once a day.
Please make sure that your child comes to school dressed warmly. Hats, mittens, scarves, warm jackets or coats, and boots are a must! We can always peel off layers if it gets warm.
