We continue practicing reading in our class. We hit our 5th book! Children are so proud to read their books! We wish you could see their excitement and eagerness!
If your child brought a book home, make a big deal! Now he can participate in Family Reading Time and be comfortable to read his own book! Be patient, don't rush to read a"hard" word for the child. Just say, " Hm, does it make sense?", "Try again!", "Sound it out!", " Oh! Now it makes sense!". Be positive and as excited as your child! Practice makes it perfect.
