We played in the big "Green" Park
When we were walking back from the park we noticed a big gray cloud. We knew right away that rain is coming.
As soon as we came to the school and settled down in the classroom we heard the sound of rain drops splashing and the sound of thunder. Some of our friends got scared. It is true thunderstorms are scary. Knowledge is the best way to deal with fears. As we know a cloud is made of many water particles that move inside of the cloud rubbing each other. When they rub and bump agains each other, they make electricity. When enough electricity builds up, it bursts through the cloud and flashes. Lighting makes light, and as we know, things that make light are hot! Lightning is very hot! It heats the air and BOOM! It makes a loud noise called thunder.
