This week we have been focussing on Pesach customs and traditions.
Ariella makes a Seder Plate in her Haggada.
We learned about all the things on the Seder plate and what they symbolize.
We even have a song that we sang to help us remember:
There are six things that we prepare
To put on the Seder Plate on the night of the Seder
Roasted Chicken and the egg are the first of them
To remind us of Karbonos that we brought to Hashem
In the middle is the Maror, a bitter vegetable
To remind us of the Mitzriyim who made us miserable
On the right side is Charoses, to remind us of the mortar
On the left side is the Karpas we dip in salt water
On the bottom is the lettuce, and that's what we prepare
To put on the Keara on the night of the Seder.
We went through the 15 steps of the Seder:
Here's another song we learned:
Kadesh we take a sip
Of wine to our lip
Urchatz we wash our hands
for the Karpas which we dip
Yachatz we now divide
and put half aside
of the middle matzo
the afikomen which we'll hide
Magid tells the story
and once more we
tell our sons the nes to repeat
Wash your hands
Rochtza demands
for motzi matzo
the matzo which we eat
Moror is bitter greens
Korech sandwiched between
Shulchan orech the yom tov meal
we lick our soup bowls clean
Tzofun's not far behind
Afikomun we find
Berach we bentch in Halel mention
Hashem who is kind
Nirtzah is our task to
Ask Hashem to
Be pleased with the Mitzvos we have done
Now you can start to
Say by heart
the Mitzvos of the seder
Beginning from step one
