Welcome back!

We were very happy to see everyone after the winter recess. Everyone looked well rested and ready to learn and have great experiences! This Monday we started the new learning unit; Our Community and Our Neighborhood. The big idea of the unit is the relationships that take place within a peaceful community.
We start with the smallest unit of the community- our class. In our classroom comunity, we spend time together, learn together and have fun together as well.  Everyone in our class is responsible for something that makes our life easy, intersting and safe. Having classroom jobs cover our basic needs for example setting utensils for meals. We discussed what our favorite classroom job is. It appears that most of the children like to be the white board eraser of the week.
We talk about how morahs help our community and how the principal helps our community. Before we met with the principle, we put our heads together come up with ideas about what a principal's job. When a morah is sick, Morah Chanie come to teach the class. ( Ariella)
Morah Chanie makes sure that everyone works together. (Dalia)
If somebody doesn't have a thing, like a bus toy, Morah Chanie will buy it.(Daniel P.)
When we hungry Morah Chanie buys food.(Ryan)
When you are at the office and you have a broken leg, Morah Chanie will fix it. (Avi)
Morah Chanie's job is to call someone who cooks fod so we will be not hungry and we will be super healthy. (Alisa, Rayn and Dovid)
If we don't have paper, Morah Chanie will buy it.( Daniel R.)

In Morah Chanie's office, we shared our ideas with her. She told us that we are right, that her job is to help everyone, and especially our families to raise us smart, healthy and strong.
