Mitzvah Notes

Dear Parents,

As a way to encourage and (verbally) reward our children for positive behavior, we request that you send Mitzvah notes with your child at least two times a week. The Mitzvah notes will be read in school at circle time.

Here are some suggestions of what a  Mitzvah note could be written about:

A) Something in his or her home routine that he or she struggles with. (i.e. going to bed on time, cleaning up toys, etc.)

B) Something kind that he or she did. (i.e. getting Mom the diapers for the baby without being asked etc.)

C) A behavior you are working at home (i.e. using your words, using kind words, waiting for your turn etc.)

D) A Mitzvah (commandment) or Jewish ritual that a child did. It can be holiday related or a mitzvah that can be done every day. (i.e. Dipping the apple in the honey, going to shul on shabbos, saying a beracha before eating food, etc.)

Thanks for your cooperation!
Have a great day :)
